Canada’s newest university, the University of Ontario, Institute of Technology (UOIT) was created by on June 27, 2002 and is Canada’s newest university. The university accepted over 900 students in 2003 and will grow to 6,000 by 2010. PMI Southern Ontario Chapter
The PMI Southern Ontario Chapter provides frequent opportunities to exchange knowledge amongst local members of the Project Management Institute. The Southern Ontario Chapter was the ninth to receive a Charter in 1975. Starting with about 20 members, the Chapter maintained a steady growth to about 600 members in the early '90s. Since the inception of the Project Management Professional certification and the computer age, Chapter membership has surged to over 2,600 members, making the Southern Ontario Chapter one of the largest in PMI worldwide.
PMI Lakeshore Chapter
The Ontario Lakeshore Chapter of the Project Management Institute is a non-profit body of volunteers, established in 1997, to promote further awareness and recognition to the proven and established methodologies for structured project management.
The Lakeshore Chapter of the Project Management Institute supports the Project Management Institute in its stated organizational purpose:
